Is it okay to have braces before all my teeth fall out?
My parents say I can't get braces before all my teeth fall out. Is that true? And why? Please explain because I kind of want braces but I knows it's going to be sore.

You need to have a consult with an orthodontics first, there are two ways of doing it, first you can wait for all the baby teeth to fall out and then put braces on, this will work MOST of the time, the other way is to put them on when you have what is called mixed dention (baby teeth and adult teeth) this will help guide the other adult teeth in , there are appliances that can help, like a palatal expander if the upper arch is smaller than the lower, this can widen the arch to help allow room for the teeth, if this is needed and not done ahead of time then they will have to pull teeth or have surgery to widen the palate. Another example is if you had the top 4 adult teeth and bottom 4 adult teeth and all the rest were baby, they would bond brackets to the adult teeth (not the baby teeth these have short roots and can not help with the leverage) to pull them into place before you loose the baby teeth, this would keep you from breaking them and might keep you out of head gear. Only the orthodontics will be able to tell you whether you need to start early or can wait.
