What is the difference between an asthma attack and a panic attack?
Today at P.E after running,I thought I was having an asthma attack..but my doctor told me I had it and it was very mild while I was in first grade. Also, the nurse told me I wasn't wheezing,
Im now in high school, and have never once had to use an inhaler,or have been bothered by asthma until today. I was breathing hard and uncontrollably and couldn't calm down. This has occurred many times before, like being scared of being late to class, or stressing out during an assignment for school..only a lot less severe.Do you think that could be related to my "asthma attack?"

Asthma is when the bronchus constrict and you can not exhale, and when you try to inhale you hear a wheeze caused by air trying to come in thru constricted bronchials. Thus and asthma attack. During a panic attack you can breathe but it is set of by a chain of events. Car wreck, death of a loved one, waiting of STD results etc......I think you should have an inhaler ( Albuterul- its the only fast acting rescue inhaler around) on you at all times, especially during gym. An attack can be brought on by weather, exercise, perfume, and the enviorment.
