What should i do to minimize the pain? (skin scratch)?

My sister scratched her feet, the epidermis is gone, some parts have blood clot, its swelling and cold to touch and my sister said that it hurt so much. I’m worried that if she goes to school it might get infected so my question is...

how can i minimize the pain (aside form giving her pain relievers) for this kind of scratches?
how do i dress it so the infection will not enter the skin?
how to prevent or atleast minimize the forming of scars?

Have you told your parents about this, it sounds quite nasty. I'd recommend that you get it looked at by a doctor asap

get neosporin antibiotic ointment with the pain reliever in it. it effectively numbs the site while keeping it clean, aiding healing, and preventing scarring. to dress first clean the site with soap and water, let dry. apply antibiotic ointment and cover with gauze or band-aid. secure gauze with tape or rolled gauze. if it's causing her a lot of pain (like she can't sleep) and the limb remains cold and swollen I'm worried something else may be going on besides a simple wound. if the above is true your sister should see a dr very soon.
