Why is it that when you drive, sometimes you get that feeling in your ear?

Why is it that when you drive, sometimes you get that feeling in your ear?
The feeling in your ear kind of dims out sound and you have to pop your ears by yawning to re-adjust your ears?

It seems to happen more often when you change elevations.

Reason and study on this?

Air pressure changes. Same as on planes, only it's worse on planes. The pressure inside your ear is trying to equalise with the pressure outside.

Its always a change is elevation, Similar to when you fly in a plane it happens too..
