Anyone has truely removed their wise teeth?
Ok Im going to remove my wise teeth and it is above the gum so i dont guess it would be an operation i guess just a removal..

so anyone who removed his wise teeth without an operation the question is

is local sedation good i mean wont cause me pain ? or i need to go asleep?

wisdom teeth*
and hopefully YOU aren't removing them, a dental surgeon is.

Mine hadn't come in yet, so they put me right out ("to go asleep"). It was pretty major, I couldn't leave the house for a week and the painkillers made me through up.

You'll probably still feel pain through the local anesthesia, but not as much, obviously.

Do NOT remove them on your own.
If you look at where wisdom teeth are in your mouth, they are very anchored in and are at a different position than you'd expect. Dentists often refer patients to specialists because this extraction can be risky because of the way they are placed in your mouth. Not only that, but all of the precautions and delicacy would be wasted on you. What if you are allergic to the medicine you use and swell up and stop breathing? You need a professional.

If it hurts really bad call a dentist and say it's an emergency. If you are in too much pain and a dentist is unavailable, you can go to an emergency room.
