White discoloration on my calves?

They started happening about 4 - 5 months ago when I was going to California. I itched it and then they started appearing. I need to see a dermatologist, but I wanna know what it is and what I'm dealing with. I tan daily, but I've never used a tanning bed. It hasn't been spreading, but I'm pretty sure if I itch it, it will.
